Arcata Area Lodging

Some people prefer to spend the night in Arcata on Saturday and fly out Sunday morning. Arcata is an energetic place featuring several good restaurants, nightlife, Humboldt State University, a counter culture scene, and easy access to the Redwoods and beautiful North Coast.

This an old fashioned, remodeled hotel located right on the plaza in Arcata. Rooms feature claw foot tubs and an ambience from the past with a wonderful Japanese Restaurant down stairs. We will drop you off at the hotel when we do our airport drop-off or pick-up on Saturday.

We advise you ask for an ‘inside room’ away from the street, due to the Saturday night noise factor.

The Hotel Arcata isn’t the Ritz but is a recommended alternative to chain motels and has easy access to restaurants and shops.

This is a new hotel right next to the airport. Continental breakfast is included. Works best for early flights.

Located between Arcata and the Airport. Airport shuttle service operates 8am-5pm.

Rental Car

If you need to rent a car to explore the area there are three rental agencies at the airport: ALAMO; AVIS; HERTZ. All car rental agencies close at 5pm on Saturdays. It is advisable to make a reservation, since this is a small airport.
